Dance Jam - A common Circle “dance on the making"

7-8 experienced local dancers of different dance backgrounds (Hip Hop, Breakdance, Contemporary Dance) meet in a common dance circle and improvise on common thematic and kinetic conditions under the guidance of choreographer Ilias Chatzigeorgiou. Is it a battle or a show? Is it performance or improvisation? Is it dance or performance? Is it a game ? The dancers manage the time, the space and the number of people in the circle. The musician improvises with them from the decks, creating sound environments, sometimes based on what the dancers give to the circle and sometimes motivates them by creating new electronic sound conditions. Each dancer brings to the circle something new, of his/her own, unique. With respect to others. They may accept it, imitate it ,follow, or ignore it. They may even mutate it. The rule is one .
-Alertness. Soli, duetti, trio quartetti, unison are created uniquely for a moment in time and then lost forever. Nothing is the same again and the energy is constantly changing. A party for dancers a performance of kinetic improvisation for the audience.
